A third space for Parents. PDXDads is a Portland-area fatherhood community creating real-life spaces for dads and kids to connect, play, and belong. PDXDads creates low-barrier, real-life meetups where fathers can show up with their kids, build friendships, and remember they are not doing this alone. Isaiah Adeoye is the President of Emerging, a Portland nonprofit creating spaces for new and expecting parents to build community, find support, and feel less alone in the early years of family life. He is also the founder of PDXDads, a dedicated meetup group for Portland-area fathers that began as a way to give dads a place to show up with their kids, connect with one another, and be reminded that they are not doing parenthood alone. Emerging Parents strengthens families by creating spaces where parents can connect, belong, and thrive through community gatherings, storytelling, and father-focused initiatives like PDXDads.
